Well everyone, we did it:

Eliza Marian Leeson was born at 12:25 pm March 26, 1997. She was 5 lbs, 13 ozs and 19 inches long. She has light brown hair and dark blue eyes, which both will probably change in the next 6 months. Susie did an awesome job of labor and delivery. Her labor was about 18 hours long (woah!) from the first strong contractions to delivery. Eliza was screaming before she was all the way out. I helped guide her out and then cut the umbilical chord. All three of us spent the night, Susie and I in the recovery room with a spectacular view of Mount Tam and a nearly full moon; Eliza in the nursery so that Susie and I got a good 9 hours of sleep. Probably our last unbroken nights sleep for awhile. We came home 23 hours after delivery. Susie is now crashed on the couch with Eliza sleeping soundly on her chest. In the next week or so we will post pictures of Eliza on our web page, which is: http://www.microweb.com/tleeson.

Thanks for all of your support. Wish Susie a rapid recovery. We'll introduce you all to Eliza soon.

Toby and Susie.
